How do we find your grant?
We track federal, state, and private grant programs, and keep only the ones a small business or nonprofit can actually receive. Right now that is 673 verified programs. We check funder pages for changes daily. When a page changes, we verify the grant again. That is how we catch closed programs and moved deadlines.
Then we match them to you: your state, industry, and ownership. You see how many fit, what they pay, and when they close before you spend anything.

How do we write it?
Pick a grant. Our AI reads what that funder asks for, then asks you only the questions it needs, and tells you why each one matters. It skips anything you've already told us. Your answers are saved to your profile, so your next application starts ahead.
Your answers become a full first draft, written in your voice, in about 20 minutes. You can close the page; we email you when it's ready.
Every application comes with a list of the paperwork that grant requires. If it needs a federal registration that takes weeks, we tell you before you start, not after the deadline.

How do we check it?
Fluent writing is easy for AI. True writing is the hard part.

Flagged: You told us you have one room and two injectors. You did not tell us one waits while the other works. Confirm it is true, or cut it.
Nobody wants to explain a small exaggeration to a grant reviewer. Strayguard flags details it can't trace to your answers so you can confirm or cut them.
Strayguard also scores the draft against the funder's published criteria. Do the budget numbers add up? Do the figures match from page to page? Is ‘four years in business’ actually four years? If the review score is low, we try one rewrite and give you the stronger version.
Some funders have rules about AI-written applications. When the grant's text or a known funder policy limits AI, we tell you before you submit.

The honest version: a great grant writer is still worth hiring for a large federal grant or a complex budget. Real and open, or we make it right.
If a grant wasn't real, had already closed, or wasn't one your business could apply for on the day you bought its application, we fix it. On $25 we refund it. On $97 we return that application or credit you. If a large share of your matches turn out wrong, we refund the full $97. And on a $25 (once per customer): don't qualify for the grant? Full refund within 14 days.
Questions people ask
- Can I just use ChatGPT to write my grant application?
- You can. It will write fluently, but it can't confirm which grants are open today, and it may invent details about you that sound right. If you use it, check every claim yourself. We built WinAGrant to do both of those parts for you.
- Is WinAGrant an AI grant writer?
- Yes. AI finds, writes, and checks, and you stay in charge of what gets submitted.
- Is the $25 refundable?
- Yes, in two cases. If the grant you bought an application for wasn't real, had already closed when you bought, or is objectively closed to businesses like yours, we refund the $25. And if you find you don't qualify for the grant you picked, email hello@winagrant.com within 14 days of purchase and we refund the $25. That 14-day refund covers one $25 purchase per customer, and if the grant hasn't opened yet when you buy, the 14 days start the day it opens. We never promise you'll win; the funder decides.
