Accessibility
WinAGrant should work for everyone.
We want every business owner and nonprofit to be able to find a grant and get it written here, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, or zoom.
What we aim for
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That is our goal, not a claim that every page meets it today.
What we've done so far
- A “Skip to main content” link and one main content area on every page, so screen readers and keyboards land in the right place.
- Labels on our form fields, including the quiz and sign-up, so screen readers say what each box is for.
- Darker text for small print, so it's easier to read.
We don't use an accessibility overlay or widget. We fix the site itself.
What we know isn't perfect yet
We haven't had an outside accessibility audit. We check the site ourselves with automated tests and by hand, and we fix what we find.
Tell us if something doesn't work
If any part of WinAGrant is hard to use, email hello@winagrant.com. Tell us the page and what happened. We'll reply within 2 business days, and if you can't finish something because of it, we'll help you finish it another way.
