Grants for small businesses and nonprofits

Never hired a grant writer? You don't have to.

Grant writing for the rest of us.

Tell us about your business and we write the application, built from the same craft a $5,000 grant writer charges for. You review and submit. It's money you keep, not a loan.

See the grants you qualify for first, free. Takes about three minutes.

Not a loan. You never repay a grant as long as you follow the award's terms.

Scout, the WinAGrant watchdog

Grant money is real. And it is not a loan.

We only show you real programs from Grants.gov, the SBA, state agencies, and private funders. You see every match, and the price, before you spend a cent. No one can promise you'll win one, and anyone who does is lying. What we promise: you'll know exactly what you qualify for, the applications will be done, and you'll be in the running.

Main Street Small Business Growth Grant

Executive Summary

[business name], a woman-owned LLC in Ohio, requests $25,000 through the Main Street Small Business Growth Grant. The funds will support three linked investments: a second coffee roaster, dedicated packaging line equipment, and the hiring of one new full-time employee. Together these investments will expand the company's production capacity and create a new local job.

Founded in 2021, [business name] operates a small-batch coffee roastery and neighborhood cafe. The company employs four people and has annual revenue of [redacted]. All coffee is roasted in-house and sold through two channels: retail from the storefront and wholesale to three local restaurants.

Wholesale demand is growing beyond the capacity of the company's single roaster. Without additional equipment, the company cannot fulfill new wholesale orders, take on additional restaurant accounts, or grow production to match market demand. This project addresses that constraint with targeted equipment and workforce investment.

Continues through nine sections: Statement of Need, Project Description, Budget Narrative, Evaluation Plan, and more.

Why we don't look like the other grant sites.

Because we're not them. Most are search engines that hand you a database, or fintech platforms that use “free grants” to funnel you into a credit card.

Most AI writes a grant application from nothing. Ours writes from 28 rules we built out of federal reviewer guidance, professional grant-writer standards, and what funders publish about how they score. Every application uses what you've told us about your business. The more detail you give, the stronger the draft. Your answers are saved, so you never retype them. Before you see it, a second reviewer checks the draft against the grant's own requirements, confirms it uses your real details, and flags any claim it can't verify from what you told us.

A note from the founder

Big companies have a grants department. Now you do too.

“The money is there. It always was. It just was never built for people like us.”

As a business owner myself, I tried the other grant sites before I built this one. The first hid the price behind a signup wall. The second matched me to a business credit card. The third handed me a database of 10,000 results and wished me luck.

None of them would tell me which grants my business actually qualified for. The people who can, professional grant writers, charge thousands per application. That's a real service, but it's built for organizations with budgets to match, not for someone running a business on their own.

I kept thinking about the people around me. Friends running shops. Family starting businesses. People doing everything right who had no idea they qualified for real money. The knowledge about what's out there and how to apply for it has always existed. It just lived inside corporate grants departments. I wanted to bring it to the rest of us.

So I built the thing that should have already existed. You answer a few questions about your business. We find the grants that fit. We write the applications. You review them and submit.

That's who this is for. The person doing everything themselves who's never had someone sit down, look at their business, and say: here's the money you qualify for, and I'll write the paperwork.

Question 1 of 7

What type of business do you have?

All our pricing. Right here.

No “contact us for pricing.” No “sign up to find out.” Start with one application for $25, or unlock everything for $97.

  • Built on 28 rules from federal reviewer guidance. A second AI reviewer flags any claim it can't trace back to what you told us.
  • Written in your voice, matched to a grant you actually qualify for. You review, edit, and submit it yourself.
  • Credits never expire. Buy one when you need one.

A grant writer charges $1,500+ for one application. Ten singles run $250; the $97 plan includes ten at $9.70 each.

Real questions. Plain answers.

Is this one of those grant scams?

Fair question. The category is full of them. We're the opposite: the price is on the homepage, the grants we find are real federal and state programs (Grants.gov, SBA, state agencies), and you see every match you qualify for before you pay a cent. What it pays, when it closes, how well it fits. You pay to unlock the names and get the applications written. We never call or email saying you've “won” a grant. Real grants don't work that way. And a real grant is not a loan: you never pay it back.

Do you actually write the applications, or just give me a template?

Actual applications, tailored to your business and the specific grant. We draft them with Claude (the AI from Anthropic), using your quiz answers. You review, edit if you want, and submit. Write one for $25, or unlock your full list and 10 written applications for $97.

Is the 10 per month? Per year?

Neither. The 10 come with the $97, and they're 10 total with no expiration. Use them on whichever grants you choose. For most small businesses that's more than enough. Scout is separate: it just alerts you when new grants match your business, it doesn't write anything. You can also buy single applications for $25 anytime, with or without the $97. No surprise charges, ever.

What if nothing good comes up for me?

Then we don't charge you. If your search comes back with a grant you want, you can write that one for $25. If truly nothing fits yet, you go on our free watch instead. We email you when new grants open that fit your business. No card, no charge, until there's a real one worth writing.

Will I actually win one?

Honestly, no one can promise that. Anyone who does is lying. Grants are competitive. What we can promise: you'll know which ones you qualify for, the applications will be done, and you'll be in the pool. Award amounts vary by program. Your match list shows each grant's real dollar figure, and even a modest one covers the $25 or $97 many times over.

Who is this for?

U.S. small business owners. Sole proprietors, LLCs, partnerships, nonprofits. Any state, any industry. We match federal, state, and private grant programs across manufacturing, tech, agriculture, healthcare, retail, services, and more. If you have a business and you can answer a three-minute quiz, we can find what you qualify for.

After the $97, will I be charged again?

The $97 is a single charge to see all of your matches and to select up to 10 written applications, though you're never required to start there: you can write a single application for $25 whenever you want. Either way, your first month of Scout is free, watching for new grants and emailing you the day one matches. To keep Scout after that, opt in for 3 months free, then $15/mo. We email you before the first charge, and you can cancel anytime. Don't want to continue? Scout simply ends after your free month. Past your included 10, more applications are $25 each. No hidden fees, ever.

Refunds?

Because you see how many grants you qualify for, what they pay, and how well they fit before paying, the purchase is final once made. If something is genuinely wrong with what we matched you to (they aren't real grants for your business), email hello@winagrant.com within 14 days and we'll review your case directly. Scout you can cancel anytime to stop future charges.
